Beaded "Almost Perfect" ("Gandrīz Perfekts" eņģelīši no pērlītēm)

      This is already some kind of tradition for me to do some bead stitching on canva. This time I took very beautiful image of three little angels to work with. This cross stitch scheme is called "Almost Perfect". I was surprised to find out that among Russian women the embroidery scheme "Almost perfect»  is an omen to get pregnant. It is believed that the image of the embroidery results in pregnancy (99%). On the Internet you can find a large number of testimonies from women (mostly written in Russian) who became pregnant shortly after embroidery. Well I finished my angels and yesterday I found out that I'm pregnant. :) 

       Kā ierasts, katru vasaru es ķeros klāt izšūšanai ar pērlītēm. Šoreiz izvēlējos burvīgu zīmējumu ar maziem eņģelīšiem, kas saucas "Gandrīz Perfekts". Eksistē vairāki ticējumi, par kuriem zina daudzas izšuvējas. Un ar šo darbu saistās viens no visizplatītākajiem ticējumiem izšuvēju aprindās -izšujot šos eņģelīšus iestāsies grūtniecība. Interneta plašumos diezgan daudzas sievietes apgalvo, ka tas tiešām nostrādā. Protams, vai ticēt tādām litām, vai nē, tas ir katra paša ziņā. Where to buy Beading stuff? (Kur pirkt pērļošanai nepieciešamo?)

         I've been doing different beading projects for six years already, so I definitely have a few favorite places where I buy the beading stuff. In the local shops there are practically nothing interesting for the beaders and the prices are  way too inflated so I purchase all that is needed on the internet.

        For my beaded flower and tree compositions are not necessary high quality beads so I mostly use regular beads from China. Seed beads I buy on e-bay.com from the sellers who offer free international shipping. Plus I use the auction format and my bids are mostly only 0,22$. Because it does not make any sense to pay more for beads which are not very qualitative. Right? What concerns bicones, rhinestones, jelly drills, cabochons etc. I also buy them on auctions, but the bits are usually higher. All my gemstones and river pearls also are bought on ebay. Without any doubt I'm a big fan of  e-bay.com and one of the things I like the most is the variety of items and the possibility to take part into auctions.

      In relation to jewelry making, I can say that qualitative chech and japanese beads meet the demands the most for such delicate projects. 8beads.com is an amazing shop with great prices and  there is a free shipping all over the world for orders over 45EUR.  There has been a buzz that it will be closed any time soon, yet it's still open and I have managed to stock up my reserves of beads.

        The original Swarovski crystals I purchase on mycrystalidea.com. Their shop has fine choice of crystals and the prices are consistent. Great thing about this shop is that they have gem-tac glue which I use already for ages and to my mind it is super cool and ideal for adhering crystals and rhinestones onto a wide variety of surfaces.

      Kas attiecas uz ziediem un kociņiem, kas tiek veidoti no pērlītēm, viņu izveidei nav nepieciešamas augstas kvalitātes pērlītēs, tāpēc šiem darbiņiem es izmantoju parastas pērlītes no Ķīnas. Cenas tur ir vienas no labākajām čegu pērlītēm un pirkumiem virs 45eiro piegāde ir bezmaksas. Pirms kāda laika instagramā pērļotājas runāja, ka šis veikals drīz vērsies ciet, bet pagaidām viņš strādā un esmu paspējusi sev piepirkt paprāvus krājumus. :)

Decorated Vases - crafts (Puķu vāzes izskaistināšana)

     Making beaded flower composition it is important not only to make flowers to the best of my abilities, but also to locate them into vase and to make the composition complete. Pretty often I meet with the difficulty to find proper vase for my flowers. They need to be stable, solid and, at the same time, they need to be pretty. Usually the vases are too simple, plain and common to my taste, so as often as not, I decorate them with the rhinestones and beads. That sort of vases I like much more. :)

       Veidojot ziedu kompozīcijas no pērlītēm liela nozīme ir ne tikai ziediem, bet arī vāzei kādā ziedi tiks stiprināti iekšā. Vāzei ir jāatbilst noteiktiem kritērijiem. Tai jābūt ļoti stabilai un izturīgai, jo ziedu kompozīcija no pērlītēm ir smaga, bet tajā pat laikā gribas lai vāzīte būtu skaista un uzrunājoša.       Believe it or not but Christmas is at hand already. So it is the best time to start to think about Christmas tree decorations. As you can see on the pictures below it is possible to make lovely Christmas tree toys with your own hands. First thing what you need is few small plastic apples or bulbs (which you can easily buy on e-bay or aliexpress), glue, cord, laces and different rhinestones, jelly drills, pearls and beads. Both rhinestones and beads look amazing on the apple. I suggest you to buy special rhinestone or craft glue, by using it the result will be better than using regular glue. 

      Neticami, bet jau ir novembris un veikalos jau sāk parādīties eglīšu rotājumi un citi dekori, kas raksturīgi šiem svētkiem. Eglīšu mantiņas ir iespējams ne tikai nopirkt, bet arī pagatvot pašam un šis ir vispiemērotākais laiks, lai to darītu, kamēr nav sācies lielais dāvanu pirkšanas drudzis.  Lai eglītes mantiņas uztaisītu, būs nepieciešami mazi plastmasas āboli vai bumbiņas, līme, aukla, lentas un dažadas pērlītes ar plakanu muguriņu un bumbiņas. Home made crystal headband (Paštaisīts lociņš ar kristāliem un pērlītēm)

      This Friday my daughter will have a birthday party and as a special gift I made for her an amazing headband. She is still a baby so its not a simple headband but an elastic headband (it will be more comfortable for her to wear it). First thing to do was to to make stretchy band more sightly so I sewed two peaces of ribbon together and pulled the ribbon in it. Then I attached stretchy band to the base on which the crystals and beads will be sewed on. When that was done it was time to decorate the base of headband. I wanted it to be extra shine so I used a lot of different rhinestones, flatbacks which where glued on. After the glue dried it was time to continue the decoration of the headband with beads, bicones, crystals and pearls. When decoration was finished I sewed a piece of fabric on the back of the headband so the sewing threads are not visible. It can be  used leather instead of the fabric. The result is quite amazing if I can say.

      Šo piektdien manai princesītei ir svētki un tam par godu gribējās uztaisīt lielisku galvas rotu kā dāvanu. Lociņu nolēmu taisīt uz gumijas, lai tas stabili turētos uz galvas mazajai jubilārei. Lai gumija būtu vizuāli pievilcīgāka, es sašuvu kopā divus lentas gabalus kopā un iekšā ievēru gumiju. Nākamais solis bija piešūt gumijas abus galus pie pamatnes, kura vēlāk tiks dekorēta ar kristāliem. Vēlējos, lai lociņš būtu maksimāli grezns, tāpēc pielīmēju klāt salīdzinoši daudz spīguļu, akmentiņu, kristāliņu. Tiklīdz līme bija pilnībā nožuvusi ar diega un adatas palīdzību turpināju rotāšanu. Kad pērlītes un bumbiņas bija piešutas lociņa aizmuguri apšuvu ar audumu, lai diegi nedūtu redzami. Auduma vietā ir iespējams izmantot arī ādas gabalu, ja tāds ir. Rezūlātā sanāca superīga rota mazajai jaunkundzei.

Beaded geisha. (Geiša no pērlītēm)

    This summer I was working very hard to make beaded geisha. I already have one, but I decided that she need some company so she does not feel so lonely on the wall in my bedroom. Bead stitching on canvas is quite time consuming, but the result usually is amazing so its worth to try. Pattern of geisha I took from the internet in the cross stitch scheme section. There are so many schemes in the internet so there is no way that you wont be able to find something on your taste. Previous time when I was making beaded geisha I bought in the shop ready-made linen with the printed picture on it. They are not bad, but this time I wanted more detailed and complex peace.

    Vasara ir paskrējusi vēja spārniem un visā šajā rosībā esmu paspējusi uztaisīt tikai geišu no pērlītēm. Sev par attaisnojumu gan varu minēt, ka izšūšana ar pērlītēm ir diezgan laikietilpīgs process, kas prasa koncentrēšanos un LIELU pacietību. Tagad man ir divas burvīgas geišas guļamistabā pie sienas un esmu laimīga par paveikto darbiņu.

Rhinestoned and beaded apple (Ābols ar akmetiņiem un pērlītēm)

    This time I have made apples a little bit more beautiful. To do that I needed a few plastic apples which you can easily buy on e-bay or aliexpress, glue,cord and different rhinestones, jelly drill,pearls and beads. By looking at the pictures you can see how it is done and what will be the result. Both rhinestones and beads look amazing on the apple.    Nopērkot plastmasas ābolus, piemēram e-bay vai aliexpress, viņus diezgan vienkārši un ātri var padarīt acij daudz tīkamākus. Lai to izdarītu ir nepieciešama līme, aukla un dažadas pērlītes ar plakanu muguriņu un bumbiņas.

                                          Nepieciešams savērt bumbiņas auklā.

                         Tad ar līmes palīdzību savērtās bumbiņas jālīme klāt ābolam.
